Quick and Easy Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

Fettuccine Alfredo is the classic Italian pasta dish that everyone will love. Not only is it quick and easy, but it’s also delicious and tastes great the next day too! Here’s how to whip up two delicious servings of Fettuccine Alfredo. Bon apetit!

Ingredients:

  • 300g of Fettuccine pasta
  • 200g of cream cheese (to your liking- go wild)
  • 400g of sliced mushrooms (can be substituted for any other veggie or left out completely!)
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 25g of butter
  • 250ml skim milk (but you can also use whole milk)
  • parmesan cheese (as much as you want – it goes on top!)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add salt.
  2. In the meantime, take a saucepan and add butter, garlic, and mushrooms, stirring well.
  3. In the same saucepan, add the cream cheese, at low heat. Add milk, slowly.
  4. Cook until sauce thickens, stirring often and slowly.
  5. Once the water has come to a boil, add your fettuccine pasta and cook, stirring often, until desired tenderness (about 8-15 minutes depending on how you like it!).
  6. Drain pasta and add previously made sauce over pasta, mixing well.
  7. Finish off with a little bit of freshly ground pepper and some parmesan cheese.
